Why we chose to do Superbad?

We chose to do Superbad as our remake because we felt it required more editing than the other options available. This meant we would be able to spend more time exploring the features of the editing software and broaden our knowledge. On the other hand, less camera angles were used throughout the opening scene but in turn we had to do more editing which we found more beneficial. We had previously seen the film and thought highly of it, this encouraged our decision to use this film for our remake. As we enjoyed the film, we had more fun making it and therefore we put more effort into it. Initially, this was the genre that we were thinking of choosing for our own film opening however, our opinions changed throughout the process of this remake.

Purpose Of Doing Remake Of Superbad

We are recreating the film opening of Superbad in order to prepare us for our own film opening.
When we create our own film opening we are expected to include the opening credits and the title sequence and therefore, we can gain experience from recreating an existing film opening. We are also able to identify the crucial importance of timings and how they have an impact on the opening scene.

Editing is a vital part of creating a film opening, it is the stage where all of the camera work gets put together. Through this recreation we have developed new skills on the editing software and discovered the tools and effects that can be used. Moreover we get a feel of how to use the camera equipment properly.
